Inspired by the Obsidian design principles (a personal knowledge base and note-taking app), here is a draft set of core design principles for my lightweight Markdown open publishing tool Docsify-This.net👇🏼
✅ Frictionless Markdown publishing
Minimize barriers to Markdown content publishing, for example no build process or website setup
✅ Flexible content display control
Enable standalone or embedded content usage, for example content can be presented within a single navigable site or displayed/visually-styled individually️
✅ Your content, your control
Authors maintain the possession of source content, for example content is dynamically read from wherever the author stores the original source online
✅ Support the 5 Rs of OER
The 5 Rs of OER (Reuse, Retain, Revise, Remix and Redistribute) are supported, for example content remains in place as individual files allowing for both open access and possible collaboration
✅ Authors helping other authors
Enable more experienced users to help others out, for example the defaults of the Docsify-This Web Page Builder can be configured by URL parameters and shared
